ABOUT US

A family tragedy brought to light the lack of awareness in seizure symptoms and first aid.

Aurelio "Bello" Sanchez suffered a seizure in his sleep and passed away from SUDEP in 2009.

His friends and family were unaware of the complications of seizures and did not know about symptoms.

In 2012,  young professionals came together with a common cause; to use music in the advocacy of seizure first aid. A concert was held in Dallas with local music acts promoting epilepsy advocacy.

The purpose of SAFE is to educate the DFW community on seizure first aid. Our goals are to dispel myths of epilepsy.
